See how easy and calm this is.... All he needs to do is throw the ingredients in...
Deen didn't seem to mind though! (and that's all that really matters anyway!)
We sorted out paper clips by color...We did this baking activitiy on Wednesday for his Daddy's Birthday (Happy Birthday Daddy! from Deen.)
I held it back to Sunday so that we could participate in Simply Made Sunday.
The mix was SOOOO yummy I think I ate Deen ate the equivalent of one cupcake!
(hey, I wasn't the one caught red handed now was i?)
Awww that picture makes me smile... THIS is why I bake with my son :) :)I wish we made more, they were delicious!

This week for Simply Made Sunday we made Rice Krispie treats.... this recipe is SO easy, its fun for kids and it's quick.
Ingredients: 6 cups rice krispie treats, 3 tablespoons butter, and 50 marshmallows.
First, we prepared our ingredients.
Deen counted some marshmallows.
He put six cups of rice krispies in a bowlNow it was my turn...
I melted the butter on low heatI added about 45 marshmallows and then a little bit more since
I kept eating the melted marshmallows the marshmallows appeared to look too little when melted..Add in six cups of rice krispies and mix...
Then I lined a baking tray with wax paper, added a little bit of butter on my spoon and pressed my rice krispies into the baking tray.
The butter is so that the spoon doesnt stick.. (Trust me.. this helps A LOT)
Allow to cool a little so it gets a little hard.. then cut.
I wanted to cut into fun shapes but within 10 minutes all my rice krispie treats were done! :)
We participated this week in Simply Made Sunday- In the kitchen with mom.
Deen loves to help bake...
after we were done he said "Mama I LOVE doing this.. thank you..." My heart melted.
Here we begin:
Mix mix mix...
"Deen.... smile!!"
"Add some cupcake liners please...."
"and Sprinkle some fun"
